Sleep Settling consultant for babies and young children

Together we will solve any sleep issues that your little ones may be having and work towards a better night’s sleep for all the family.

Hi, I’m Janine and I have worked within childcare for over 20 years, spending many years caring for babies in a day nursery setting, managing a nursery, followed by childminding when my own three children came along. I am therefore very aware of the importance of sleep for all of the family.

I often supported parents with their child’s sleep throughout these roles and would love to support many more which is why I decided to become a certified child sleep consultant and the founder of Sleep Settling.  I have always found it satisfying and rewarding to be able to help families through the process of settling their babies into a sleep pattern and routine that makes everyone’s lives a little easier.  Life is hard for everyone when they are not getting enough sleep and rest, and what should be a lovely enjoyable moment in time becomes tiring, stressful and seems relentless.  It really doesn’t need to be this way.

Sleep Settling offers advice and support with tailor made sleep plans for babies and children aged 0-6.  If your child has more complex needs I can offer more tailored guidance to aid a settled night’s sleep.

My Approach

My aim is to help families get the best possible night’s sleep using a holistic and client led approach, there are many different techniques we can use as a sleep practitioner.

Every child is unique and with the understanding of your family values and the temperament of your little one I will devise a tailor made sleep plan for us to work towards a settled night’s sleep which will be a gentle and responsive technique that suits your little one and your parenting style.

What I can help with

won’t settle for any length of time

only sleeps if they are in bed with you

waking frequently through the night

won’t nap during the day

needs feeding, rocking or comfort to get off to sleep

starting the day too early

A well-rested baby/child will be happier, settled and far more content. Sleep is vital for us all and in infants sleep plays an important role in a child’s development, including their cognitive development and physical growth.

Testimonials

It would be no exaggeration to say that Janine has completely transformed our 2 years old sons sleep routine! We have gone from multiple wake ups and up to 3 bottles of milk a night to him now sleeping through until 7am, something we thought would never happen. We were in a complete rut and too tired to think about any kind of sleep training ourselves which is why we approached Janine and we are so glad that we did! We would 100% recommend without hesitation to anyone else experiencing sleep issues with their children.

Nina

We contacted Janine when our baby was around three months old and purchased the newborn support package. She was super lovely, reassuring and supportive and gave us some really useful advice that helped to guide us through the newborn phase. Thanks Janine!

Jacob and Bethan

Janine and I worked together in a nursery provision for many years. During this time, Janine formed strong relationships with children and their parents, in particular when parents faced challenging behaviours in the home. Janine helped parents to set boundaries and routines. Parents were always grateful for the results and impact it made on their lives at home.
